• Photos and Documents: Images of your pets, vet receipts, and documents you upload for scanning
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service, including features used and preferences

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Send you vet appointment reminders and medication notifications you've configured
• Process transactions and send related information
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Power AI features including document scanning and pet chat (see AI Features section below)
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities to improve your experience

Artificial Intelligence Features

Vinzo Pets uses Google's Gemini AI to power several features. When you use these features, certain data is sent to Google for processing:

• Document Scanning: When you photograph vet receipts, bills, or documents, the image is sent to Google Gemini to extract text and data (vet info, medications, appointments). The extracted data is stored in your account; images may be temporarily processed by Google.
• Pet Chat: When you chat with our AI assistant about your pet, your messages and relevant pet profile data (name, species, breed, health history) are sent to Google Gemini to generate helpful responses. Chat history is stored in your account.
• Creative Features: When you generate collages, postcards, or other AI-created content, your pet photos are sent to Google Gemini for processing.

Important: Google may use data sent to Gemini in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing Google's policies if you have concerns about AI data processing. You can use Vinzo Pets without AI features by choosing manual entry options instead of scanning.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign-In: For authentication on iOS devices
• Supabase: For secure data storage and authentication
• Google Gemini: For AI-powered features including document scanning, pet chat, and creative content generation
• Vercel: For web application hosting

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export: Download your pet profiles and health records

Vinzo Pets is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
